About
… it’s all about deep listening, imagining, exploring.
Miho Hellén-Halme
Sometimes life takes unexpected turns! While studying French literature in France, I started reading authors like Henning Mankell, Karen Blixen, Selma Lagerlöf and others, became interested in Scandinavian literature and studied Swedish. After a few years in Japan spent in apprenticeship and freelancing in translation (from English and French to Japanese then), I moved to Malmö, Sweden in 2006.
The first book I translated from Swedish was Odjuret (The Beast) by Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström. Since then I have almost exclusively worked on Swedish books. I sometimes write articles about Swedish literature and other topics (usually related to Swedish language and society). Here are the books I translated, here are my articles.
